Following the United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development, National Geographic Serbia organized a conference entitled “Water, Air and Energy” on December 3, 2021, at the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade.
Following the United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development, National Geographic Serbia organized a conference entitled “Water, Air and Energy” on December 3, 2021, at the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade. According to the topic, the conference was divided into three panels. Dr. Ana Milanović Pešić and Dr. Dejana Jakovljević participated as invited speakers at the panel on water, which dealt with the following topics:
- Water of Serbia and climate change
- Wastewater problem, watercourse pollution and possible solutions
- Water in agriculture and the groundwater pollutions
They pointed out the importance of these topics and emphasized the necessity of raising the awareness and responsibility of all individuals in order to preserve Serbia's water resources.
