Depending on the needs and possibilities, the Institute can engage in the scientific research projects, doctoral studenst in the field of geo-science or scholarship holders of the Ministry of Educaiton, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia, which are funded by the Ministry. Scholars are assigned to a mentors, depenting on their educational profile and professional interests. Mentor monitors their research work as well as work on their dissertation thesis. According to the curriculum, students are required to submit an annual report on their work to their mentors, who make a final report to the Ministry, making a proposal for further engagement of the scholarship recipients. In addition, the Institute may, if necessary, engage students of geography as volunteers and interns, who through voluntairy work at the Institute aquire knowledge and skils in the field of scientific research and project engagement.
