Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijić" of the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences in the framework of cooperation with the Faculty of Geography Moscow State University "M.V. Lomonosov "(Moscow, Russian Federation) organized a visit of the School of Young Geographers of the Geographical Faculty MSU" M.V. Lomonosov "in the 01.11. – 10.11. 2018. period.

School of Young Geographers MGU "M.V. Lomonosov " is attended by students of secondary school. These are talented children who are very interested in geography. The school lasts for three years, and the program is a faculty in small: they acquire knowledge from the basic disciplines of geography, develop research skills and, most importantly, ecological awareness. An important part of the training is practical work, within which they master the methods of fieldwork and cabinet work.
One such program or fieldwork was created by the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijić" SANU in cooperation with professors from the School of Young Geographers MSU "M.V. Lomonosov ". In the period 01.11 - 10.11.2018. a group of students visited the cities of Novi Sad, Belgrade, Smederevo, Kladovo, Majdanpek, archaeological sites Vinča, Viminacium, Rudna Glava, Lepenski vir and national parks Fruška Gora and Djerdap, where students were introduced to the natural and cultural-historical features of these regions. During the visit, lectures were given by the associates of the Provincial Institute for Nature Protection and the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijic" SANU. The visit is planned so that young geographers get acquainted with the nature conservation system in Serbia, as well as to learn about the lowland part (Fruska Gora) and the hilly-mountain part (Djerdap) of Serbia.
During the visit to Smederevo an interview was given for local television.
